General Description
Artemotil sterile solution in oil suitable for Intramuscular (I.M)
injection, 50mg/ml, 1ml /pack of 10
Drug was previously known as Beta-Arteether.

Technical specifications
Each ml Injection contains: Artemotil 50mg in a suitable oil for
intramuscular injection
The oil used must be mentioned on the label e.g in 1ml Sesame oil.
The method of sterilization must be mentioned in the pack insert.

Therapeutic class
Artemotil is the ethyl ester of dihydroartemesinin.

Indications
Treatment of severe malaria caused by P. falciparum.

Note: The pharmacokinetic properties of ARTESUNATE, and Artemether
are superior to those of Artemotil.

Temperature considerations
Do not store above 25°C (77°F). Do not freeze.

Storage
Store in original packaging.
Protect from light.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Dispensing and administration instructions
Use a new ampoule for each dose.
Check the oil used and confirm that the patient is not likely to be
allergic to that oil. Since small volumes are required for children, use
1ml syringe to ensure accurate dosing.
